FAQs
Why haven’t I heard of Paxton Trailers?
This is something that we hope few people will now be asking and as such it probably isn’t a question that should sit here! Nevertheless, for the uninitiated, we were established in 2006 and since then have sold literally thousands of trailers across the United Kingdom and Europe. Our reputation for high quality, hard working utility trailers continues to be built and with the many recommendations we receive from our customers our brand is growing stronger by the day .
How good are they?
We believe that you are unlikely to find a trailer of the same standard as a Paxton for the price at which they are offered. Many of our trailers have now been recycled as second hand units and as such maintain a high residual value. They are hard working, robust pieces of equipment and provide real value for money. Please don’t take our word for it, have a look at one but be sure to take your credit card, as once seen, you’ll not want to leave without one!
How do you rate against companies like Ifor Williams?
Ifor Williams are understandably seen as a market leader within the trailer industry. They have been trading for a number of years and supply high quality trailers but the catch is, you pay a high end price. This is where we at Paxton think we have the edge. We believe that our trailers are in everyway comparable with those of Ifor Williams but they are available at a fraction of the price. Come and have a look and decide for yourself.
Do the trailers come built?
Our trailers come supplied in kit form however all of our agents employ trained fitters and offer the option to have your trailer built prior to delivery or collection. There is usually a small charge for this which your chosen agent will be able to confirm.
What warranty is offered?
Our agents will offer you a years warranty on all built trailers and a similar warranty on component parts where the trailer is supplied as a flat pack. This warranty is conditional on the trailer being maintained in accordance with the guidance provided, used appropriately and where supplied flat packed, built correctly.
What load weight can they take?
The bulk of our un-braked trailers are rated to the maximum allowable weight (Gross Axle Weight) of 750kg, although a small number are rated to the lesser weight of 500kg. The load that can be legally carried by an un-braked trailer can be calculated by subtracting the weight of the trailer from the maximum allowable weight e.g a trailer weighing 263kg and rated to 750kg will have a maximum load weight of 487kg.
Can accessories be supplied?
Yes of course. Paxton offer a range of accessories including covers, hitch locks, corner steadies with many agents also offering to fit Datatags.
Where do I buy a Paxton?
Our trailers are for sale through a range of internet based retailers and selected high street outlets. Please interrogate our ‘agents’ page for an online store or agent near to you.
